Step 1: You can change your admin privileges.

You need to be sure that QuickBooks is not set to run automatically as an administrator.

  1. Quit QuickBooks desktop machine.
  2. Unzip the Windows from Start menu.
  3. You can enter “QuickBooks” into the search option. Then click on right of QuickBooks icon and then select Open file location.
  4. Click on right of the the QuickBooks.exe file in the folder and select Properties.
  5. Click & select the Compatibility tab.
  6. You can select to uncheck the Run this program as Administrator option. In case, option is grayed out then select Show Settings for All Users.
  7. At last, click & select Apply and then press OK.

Step 2: You can change your email preferences in QuickBooks Desktop.

  1. Choose edit menu and then select Preferences. In case, if you are using Microsoft Outlook with Microsoft Exchange Server, unzip and log in to Outlook before you move on.
  2. Choose Send Forms from the menu. Then navigate to My Preferences tab.
  3. You can also select Outlook as your email option.
  4. Click & select OK.

Unzip QuickBooks and send a test email or transaction. Still, if you are getting any error, toggle your preferences.

  1. First choose edit menu and then select preferences.
  2. Choose Send Forms from the menu. Then navigate to My Preferences tab.
  3. After that, click & select QuickBooks E-mail or Webmail, and then press OK. This toggles your preference off.
  4. Now, you need to repeat the steps. Come back to My Preferences tab and then select Outlook. Then press OK.
  5. Quit QuickBooks and all other unzip programs.
  6. You can restart your computer machine.

Unzip QuickBooks and send a test email or transaction. Still, if you are getting any error then move on to Step 3.

Step 3: User can check their Internet Explorer email preferences.

As we know that QuickBooks uses Internet Explorer to run web services in the background. If you are looking to check internet explorer, user may need to reset their email preferences there.

  1. First, quit QuickBooks.
  2. Next, unzip internet explorer.
  3. After that, user can select tools then the settings menu and then internet options.
  4. Find Programs tab & then select set programs.
  5. User can select set your default programs and select the email service you want to use.
  6. Click & select Apply and then press OK.
  7. Quit internet explorer.

Unzip QuickBooks and send a test email or transaction. Still, if you are getting any error then move on to Step 4.

Step 4: User can repair their MAPI32.dll – In order to repair the MAPI32.dll, user need to follow the below steps:

  1. First, user need to restart their computer machine.
  2. Next, unzip Microsoft Word and create a new document.
  3. After that, choose File menu, then Send, and then Email as PDF Attachment.

You are required to send a test email. In case, if you are not able to send an email from Microsoft Word, you can contact Microsoft Help and Support.

If you are able to send an email from Microsoft Word but not in QuickBooks, then you need to follow the steps to repair your MAPI32.dll:

  1. First, quit all open programs.
  2. Next, unzip the windows from start menu.
  3. Enter “File Explorer” into the search option and unzip File Explorer.
  4. You need to enter C:\Windows\System32 into the search option.

  5. You can search and unzip Fixmapi.exe. Now, you are required to follow the on-screen instructions to run the repair.
  6. Once the repair done, then restart your computer machine.

Unzip QuickBooks and send a test email or transaction. Still, if you are getting an error and the repair didn’t work, then please move on to Step 5.

Step 5: Need to re-install QuickBooks.
