You can make a temporary change to your employee’s payroll info.

  1. You can select Payroll from your Desktop machine.
  2. Then, you can select Run Payroll.
  3. Click & select Update Auto Payroll.
  4. You can change any of the paychecks as needed, then select Done.

You can make a permanent change to your employee’s payroll info.

  1. First, choose Payroll, and then click on Employees.
  2. Next, click & select the employee to edit. Now, you can make any changes to pay, deductions, W-4 info as needed.
  3. After that, you can select done.

User can also pay your employee manually.

In case, if employee is currently enrolled in Auto Payroll and user are planning to pay them outside their normal payroll schedule, then they can stop Auto Payroll for a pay period. Their auto payroll will start again on their next pay run.

  1. Select Payroll, then Run Payroll.
  2. Select Pay manually this period on the employees you wish to pay manually.
  3. Enter the date, pay schedule, and edit any pay items for this payroll.
  4. Select Preview and then Submit.

You can stop Auto Payroll.

However, if you don’t want to pay one or more of your employees via Auto Payroll, then it will be required to unroll them with the help of following given steps:

Before follow the steps, you need to make sure that you are logged in to QuickBooks Online as the primary admin.

  1. Open Desktop payroll, click & select Settings ⚙, then select Payroll Settings
  2. Click & select edit in the payroll box.
  3. After that, click & select Manage Auto Payroll.
  4. You need to select one or more of the enrolled employees.
  5. Click & select Save Changes.
  6. It will be required to review the confirmation window, then select done.
