Follow the steps to print a single journal entry:

• Click on the Search icon and then select Advanced Search.

• Add journal entries filter to your search. You can also add additional filters such as Reference no., accordingly.

• Click on Search and then select the desired Journal Entry.

• Click on More and then select the Transaction journal.

• Select the Print icon in the upper right of the report to print.

How to print multiple journal entries on one report?

Follow the steps to print multiple journal entries on one report:

• Select Reports from the left menu.

• In the search bar, search for the journal report.

• Uncheck Name.

• Choose Customer, Employee or Vendor/Vendor.

• Filter — Select Transaction Type and then from the drop-down choose Journal Entry.

• Click on Run Report.

• Select the Print icon to print. Click on the Export iconto export the report to Excel or as PDF.

Now, you now know how to print a journal entry report.

How to Create a journal entry?

• Click on the Plus icon (+) present on the Toolbar.

• Select Journal Entry under other.

• In the Journal date field enter the transaction date.

(This step is Optional)

• To help identify the transaction in reports enter the journal number.

• In the Accounts field on the first distribution line enter any account which is listed in the Chart of Accounts.

Please Note: Consult your accounting professional for guidance if you are unsure of which account receives the debit credit side of a transaction.

• In the Debits or Credits column enter the transaction amount.

Tip: The first line is typically a Debit. Once you save the transaction, you can find it in the Recent Transactions report to see whether the Debit entry had the desired effect.

(Optional)

• Enter a Description for the transaction.

• The Description you enter appears on reports that display transaction details.

• Specify a customer, vendor/vendor, or employee associated with the line, if any, in the Name field.

Please Note: QuickBooks Online Plus users – Additional fields for Location and Class appearwhen the Classes and Locations feature is turned on.

• Until the sum of the Debit column entries equals the sum of the Credit column entries continue to enter distribution lines

• To set a recurring journal entry schedule, click on Make recurring.

• Click on Save.
