How to add, edit, or remove client access for a firm team member?

You can access and edit client access through two paths.

• You can manage client access from the Edit Client screen if you wish to setup which team member can access a client company.

Manage which team members can access a client

STEPS TO EDIT CLIENT ACCESS:

• Select Your Practice from the navigation menu

• Click on Clients.

• Choose the Name of the client for whom you want to edit access.

• Click on the Edit client button.

• Scroll down to Team access section.

• To add/remove access to the client add/remove the check-mark (✓) for each employee.

• Click on Save.

Notes:

1. If you are removing the access of a team member who is also a client lead, you’ll be asked to assign a new lead for the clients for which team members will be the lead.

2. Any team member will be called as a client lead if he is the accountant who was invited to the client’s books. This helps in building a good relationship between the firm and the client.

STEPS TO EDIT CLIENT ACCESS:

• Select Your Practice from the navigation menu.

• Click on Team.

• Choose the Name of the team member you want to edit.

• Select the Client Access tab in the edit user screen.

• To add/remove access for the team member, add/remove the check-mark (✓) for each client.

• Click on Save.

Note:
